What Is It?

Posted by
Elaine Hancock (Olney, United States) on 2 July 2012 in Art & Design.

Two women looking at a sculpture. It looked like purple logs stacked on top of each other. Paintings were on the right in a different room.

I'm often like this with some modern artworks "what is it?" is the common question.

Interestingly composed that seems to be telling two different stories in two different rooms within the same frame! Beautiful contrasts as well!

@Ruthiebear: I put a note in tomorrow's blog. We had this tremendous storm (did you get it?) on Friday night. 80 mph winds. Over 1 million lost power. I have not had power until midday today and a lot of my neighbors still don't have it. And it was so hot over the weekend! There was no ice to be found. I had to throw out all the food in the fridge and the freezer. But I am back!

Elaine, maybe it was just that... purple logs stacked on top of each other.... and they called it art. :)) It's been boiling hot here also and there is no end near.... I am afraid that when a storm does happens it will be a doozy! Glad to know you're ok. it's a bummer being without power though, so glad you're finally back! Take care.
