Founded in 1998, The National Pinball Museum (NPM) preserves, maintains and promotes the heritage of pinball through exhibits and programs designed to advance the public’s knowledge and appreciation of pinball. The first floor of the museum is dedicated to the history and evolution of pinball from shooting balls with cue sticks in the 1700's in France, the invention of the coil spring plunger and flippers, and finally the digital machines of today. The second floor houses both vintage and modern pinball machines that can be played.
