The factory consisted of three floors. This is a view of the stairwell with the elevator shaft in the middle on the second floor. Walking through the building was like walking in a time capsule. Everything was left as it was from the time the factory closed in 1957. The factory remained completely closed until recently when the present owner opened it for photographers. He is trying to raise money to save the building. It was cold, dark, and very dusty. The only light was from tall windows along each side of the building. I felt like I gained some good practice with timed exposures and using the tripod more (which I hardly ever do).
