Abandoned Farmhouse

Posted by
Elaine Hancock (Olney, United States) on 11 May 2015 in Landscape & Rural.

Located near Laytonsville, MD. I pass by this abandoned farm fairly often. The other day I decided to take a closer look at the farmhouse. It is the same farmhouse as this one: http://elaine.aminus3.com/image/2015-02-23.html

Soft black an white with a great light in a good framing, love it ! Plus... I'm a fan of the series "The Walking Dead" in which we can see a lot of those, so it feels like I'm walking (alive !) inside your picture :)

Very good technique for an "ancient" place.

Doesn't look half bad. I like the inclusion of the tree on the right. Makes a great frame; indeed, the branches point right to the house.

Too bad. The house appears to be solid and has potential for being renovated. I hope it has a future.

I always feel so sad about those old abandoned farm houses --- what stories they might memorize ---- what people did build it and the kids growing up there. --- ...... Excellent frame, Elaine - kindest regards and a nice evening Monika

Beautifully-framed shot as the landscaping envelopes the farmhouse!! I love the vintage processing you've given this shot.
