Clematis Vine

Posted by
Elaine Hancock (Olney, United States) on 26 July 2017 in Plant & Nature.

I planted this clematis last year in the spring. A bunny came along and decided to have a snack and chopped it off at the base. There was nothing left. Then this year, very late in the spring it all of a sudden took off and started to grow. It is blooming now.

I love clematis. I like the colourful flower against the textured background. Well done. And if these are your clematis, then well grown!

@beach: I guess I need to give credit to the bunny. The vine is looking much healthier after he chopped it off! It is growing against the shed in my back yard.

Excellent look at the Clematis, one of the best climbing plants for any garden. I really like the color of the wood in the background. 5*

@Shaun: It is the old shed in my back yard. It will soon be getting to the point that I will have to replace it. The wood is rotting in places. I will be sad because I really like the aged wood.

A beautiful shot of the lovely blossoms. You get the last laugh rather than the bunny. ;-)

What a lovely spot for the clematis to grow with that weathered texture behind it. The blooms are so elegant and such a beautiful color.
