Squirrels are the best gymnasts in the word. There in nothing they can't cling on especially eating my birds food, but they are really are fun to watch. Excellent capture Elaine. 5*

grouser from Ludlow, United Kingdom

We had one back in the roof again this year. Had to drive it out and redouble our defences. I now check the eves with binoculars every few days. Nice ShoT of this peST

6 Nov 2018 10:46am

@grouser: I think one has also moved back into my shed for the winter. This past summer both of my neighbors had large trees removed in their yards so I think that the squirrels have become more attracted to the shed. I plan to replace the shed next spring. I need to find a squirrel proof one!

Wow...Superb capture ! Happy ST !

Great capture. We've tried everything to keep our bird's food safe from the squirrels. Nothing works. But you have to love their determination and cuteness.

6 Nov 2018 11:39am

@beach: I have basically given up except I do feed them peanuts which seems to help. They are fun to watch!

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

I know they raid the bird feeders and many people consider them to be pests, but I still like them. They are very creative in their efforts and are fun to watch. Fun Silly Tuesday image.

* I was going back and looking at comment replies when I saw yours (Oct. 26) about wanting to go visit San Jose where you once lived. Interesting because I grew up visiting (from Texas) my grandmother in San Jose but only once ever year or two. Four years ago we flew into San Jose on our trip to Yosemite and San Francisco. We looked up my grandmother's little house, which hadn't changed much at all in 50 years, although there was a big apartment building next door. I hope you get to make the trip to San Jose.

6 Nov 2018 6:14pm

@B. Thomas: I hope to get back there one of these days. When I lived there, it was mostly a valley with orchards but then it became Silicon Valley. I am sure that it has changed a lot. It has been almost 30 years since I lived there but I have fond memories.
