First Snowfall

Posted by
Elaine Hancock (Olney, United States) on 16 November 2018 in Animal & Insect.

We had our first snow yesterday. Scout is checking out the snow. It only amounted to a couple of inches and then turned to sleet and then rain.

Scout doesn't seem overjoyed by the snow. ;-)

16 Nov 2018 6:05am

@Steve Rice: She was rolling around in it a bit earlier. She doesn't like having her picture taken!

Ah les premières neiges, elles font plaisir à voir ;-)
Impassible de joli rouquin, les mieux seraient en train de se rouler comme des fous.
Bonne journée Elaine et bonnes boules de neige.

It´s a cute dog :) We are still waiting here for the first snow. It´s only frozen now. The snow will starting next week. My dog love that. He´s got really crazy every year, if the first snow came down.

16 Nov 2018 8:03am

@Ralf Kesper: It is unusual for us to get snow in November so it was a surprise. She likes to roll in the snow! I like watching the snow fall.

We had our first snow last night. Precious, an old 15 year old, actual bounced around in it. Usually she hardly moves. The snow revived her. Nice shot of Scout. He seems to be saying, "Really?"

16 Nov 2018 12:07pm

@beach: She likes to roll in the snow. She also seems to be more energized when it snows!

Having had in internet for four days, I am glad to be online again. Though we only got about 3 inches of snow, the sleet last night and this morning has turned my yard and walkways into thick sheets of ice. Scout looks indifferent to the cold feet she is enduring. I always love seeing photos of her.

16 Nov 2018 2:46pm

@Ruthiebear: Our snow also turned into sleet but it finally became rain and everything was a slushy mess. Scout hates to have her picture taken. She was rolling around in the snow and I tried to get her attention but kept turning away! Glad that your internet is up and running again.

Scout looks like he is thinking about the warm house he just left. So many are writing about their first snow. I enjoy snow, but maybe that is because we get so little (if any at all). I have to go somewhere to enjoy snow. We just went to Ruidoso, New Mexico and had a couple of days of snow but it was very cold (12 degrees).

16 Nov 2018 5:44pm

@B. Thomas: That was really cold! We rarely get snow her in November so this was a surprise. It is more common in January and February. I have gotten to the age that it is fine as long as I don't have to go out in it!

The dog looks great reardless of the weather,
