This place is still in business.

Why not? I´ve worked a long time as mechanic in a similar workshop. And we´ve done good work there.

@Ralf Kesper: That's true. It is not the appearance that counts.

Devi from Chennai, India

Aw!! That does look pathetic..
but if the interior is good enough, work can go on !!!

Wonder how long it had been there? Dont you just know there has sure been a wide range of vehicles pass through.

25 Jul 2019 11:31am

@Rose: I am not sure. The freeway was backed up so I decided to take the back roads home. I came across this small town and it was located at the main intersection (the only intersection) in the town.

Steven from Chicagoland, United States

A great place to get hands-on service! I bet there are no computers inside to diagnose the car problems. :-) There's a certain charm to the distressed look. Great find!

I really like how you have brought out the gritty texture.

That's good to know, though health and safety might have something to say. I'm sure a lick of paint would make all the difference :)

Beware of Dog . . . and owner! ;-) This looks like a place that would be in a murder mystery movie.

Sometimes out of the way places like this are the best find for a photo. I wonder if there really is a dog.

Pretty neat. When I saw this, I thought it is just run down and closed. I read it is still in business, that's great.

excellent grungy detail and fine color. when I take this is the kind of shot that, I always wish I had a wider lens or wish I had tries a panorama - I want to see what is on both ends

Although the building is degrading and old there is so much character there with beautiful colors and textures; a reminder of times past.
