The Rush Before the Cold Sets In

Posted by
Elaine Hancock (Olney, United States) on 25 September 2019 in Animal & Insect.

I see bees working everywhere to get the last bit of pollen.

I will be away for a few days. I will try and leave comments if I have an internet connection. In the meantime, I have posted pictures while I am gone.

Stunning close-up with incredible clarity! It's amazing how they can "bee" oblivious to the humans around them when they are engrossed in their work.

Oh, tried to get a capture of this rush yesterday and could not...glad to see you did. For me, on this one blooming goldenrod, there were 4 or 5 bumblebees and two or three honeybees. The wind was blowing so coukd not get it to focus.
