Black Rock Mill along Seneca Creek was built in 1815 and was active until 1920. It was put out of business by a larger mill that was constructed close by. The building was abandoned and over time the roof caved in. It was taken over by the Montgomery County Historical Society in 2002. The outer walls were shored up. It is still missing the roof.
